James had his first pinewood derby race this weekend. And I have to admit I was a little nervous. The pinewood derby is such a big deal in the scouting experience but I don't like competitive stuff. Especially when my children are involved. But James was awesome. He loves to design and create stuff. He even left his car a little scuffed up because he thought it looked used.
I couldn't have been prouder!!
The competition!
The line up!
And their off!
The anticipation!
The pit crew, and cheering section! I have to admit it was a lot of fun. That night Jesse and Jakob were planing the cars that they will build soon. We are in it for life and I couldn't be more excited.
Awesome Car James!! You are so talented!
